Ingrid Datica is an entrepreneur, environmental advocate, community leader, and multidisciplinary artist based in Akumal, Mexico. Her work combines tourism, ecological initiatives, media projects, arts, and community development, with decades of involvement in projects connected to culture, sustainability, and the marine environment.

Her professional experience includes vacation property management, hospitality, tourism services, event coordination, and the renovation and decoration of vacation homes, helping create spaces that reflect the natural beauty and spirit of the Riviera Maya.

Ingrid serves as Vice-President of Vecinos de Akumal Norte and Government Chair for the organization, where she actively participates in environmental management, community organization, recycling initiatives, and civic projects focused on the long-term wellbeing of Akumal.

She is also a Fellow and Board Member of the Institute of Ecotechnics, contributing to media and special projects connected to ecological, cultural, and educational initiatives.

Her environmental work includes participation in coral reef and maritime culture research aboard the RV Heraclitus, collaboration with Wastewater Gardens projects, and ongoing involvement in ecological efforts in Mexico and Puerto Rico, including Las Casas de la Selva.

Alongside her professional and environmental work, Ingrid is deeply involved in the arts as a painter, photographer, dancer, blogger, and creative collaborator. Her artistic work is strongly inspired by marine life, coral reefs, tropical ecosystems.

Through her diverse projects and collaborations, Ingrid continues to support initiatives that connect environmental awareness, culture, education, art, and community engagement.
