Become part of a global community exploring practical solutions for a more resilient future.

The Institute of Ecotechnics welcomes volunteers who are eager to learn by doing. Whether you’re working aboard the Research Vessel Heraclitus, restoring landscapes through agroecology at Synergia Ranch, helping conserve biodiversity in the rainforests of Las Casas de la Selva, or contributing to one of our many conferences, research projects, or educational programs, you’ll work alongside experienced practitioners tackling real-world ecological challenges.

Volunteer opportunities are as diverse as our projects. One day you may be planting trees, restoring soils, or building erosion-control systems; another, helping maintain a historic research vessel, participating in ecological monitoring, or engaging in conversations that bridge science, technology, art, and culture.

If you’re curious, hardworking, and inspired by the idea of learning through direct experience, we’d love to hear from you. Join us in shaping practical pathways toward a more regenerative relationship between humanity and the living world.
