Conferences

Since 1974, the Institute of Ecotechnics has organized local and international conferences that bring together creative scientists, artists, researchers, and thinkers to explore topics of broad and current interest.

Our conferences focus on the emerging frontiers of thinking and research in biospherics, regeneration of degraded ecosystems, the human experience, culture, space exploration, and technics. These gatherings encourage interdisciplinary dialogue, collaboration, and innovative approaches to understanding both inner and outer worlds.

As part of the Biosphere 2 project, the Institute of Ecotechnics developed ecosystem management approaches and organized a series of international biospherics conferences and workshops to help develop the scientific and engineering teams responsible for the design of the closed ecological system facility.
